my professor was talking about how brain development is based on experiences. the more experiences we have, the more our brain expands. she gave the example of "falling in love." maybe my view on love and dating is so pessimistic because my brain has not expanded in that area. it must have shut down. after my first few negative experiences, i stopped wanting to experience it and now i'm clueless about all that stuff. all i can really go on is what i've seen from the relationships developing around me--friends and family members who are dating or married. i guess i guess if i want to further develop my brain in that regard, i'll have to date more. ugh.
