today i ended up in a tattoo shop with the friend i least expected to end up in a tattoo shop with. she was late to bible study but we were having our own as we waited for the artist to sketch out her design. with the amount of non-believing friends in my life, i sometimes forget the power of fellowship with a fellow believer. i experienced a couple of important revelations in my own life. i was reminded of God's power. when she was getting her tattoo: "God Is Sovereign," she witnessed to the artist and told him why she was getting her tattoo and that was powerful. he asked if Christians were allowed to get tattoos and we explained about what scripture meant in saying that our bodies were temples. it was more about our souls and hearts and less about our bodies that will remain on earth when our souls have ascended. this is something i didn't even think about when i got my first tattoo at 17 (which i plan to have removed). i told him about my old tattoo and he asked me why i wanted to remove it. i told him it had no significant meaning to me and he said that he had a couple he wanted to remove for the same reason. after that, we ended up at her bible study and God really spoke to me through His word. i was convicted to become stronger in my faith and to seek out a stronger relationship with Christ. the speaker also covered a point of interest that had been bothering me this past couple of weeks in terms of Salvation. i am praying for those closest to me who are struggling with their faith. it's a hard battle at times but it's WORTH it. i also realized that i need more support in my life from other believers [the body of Christ]. we are stronger together. we are all part of the body and the arm or the eye cannot function apart from the whole body.
