We are all capable of atrocious acts. We are just too afraid to admit it to ourselves.

We would all like to think we're good people. We hear stories on the news...see people committing irrepressible acts and we judge them. We judge them and we shake our heads but deep down inside, we know that we ourselves are one bad day, one bad relationship...one unkind word away from making some dark decisions. It may not be to the same degree but it's something that would shake us at our core and cause us to question everything we thought we knew about ourselves. We all have some darkness inside of us...some of us are just better at containing it.
